While the Chinese manufacturers are actively increasing the charging power, releaseing smartphones with 65- and even 100-watt charging, South Korean company Samsung prefers to hold onto this race. That is why, if you expect that the next generation of the flagship series Samsung Galaxy S will get a super trust charging, we have bad news for you.
Do not expect from the SAMSUNG GALAXY S22 series of super-fast charging series, as well as Chinese flagships. Charging power in all Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones, including high-class Galaxy S22 ULTRA, will be limited to 25 W. This is evidenced by the data of the Chinese certification authority 3C. The fact is that Samsung has already certified all the Galaxy S22 models for the Chinese market and in the 3C documentation it is indicated that they support fast charging up to 25 W. Interestingly, there was a rumor that Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra would be able to boast 45-watt fast charging.
At the same time, insiders received information that 25-watt charging will receive only the Samsung Galaxy S22 models based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor. But the options on the Samsung Exynos 2200 brand platform will be able to charge from the 45-watt adapter. However, in China and the United States, the new flagship will be sold only with Qualcomm chip, while the exynos models are designed for the rest of the world.
But even a 45-watt charging of the flagships next year no one will surprise anyone. Already, Chinese brands produce smartphones with support for quick charging with a capacity of up to 100 W, and in 2022 this indicator will reach 125 W. In addition, there are many middle-class smartphones on the market with fast charging support 33, 50 and even 65 W, and some initial level models have 18 and 25-watt charging. Therefore, it’s a shame to realize that SAMSUNG super-trade flagships have the same charging speed as budget smartphones.
