Redmi Note 11 announcement: a trio of powerful smartphones with fast charging up to 120W

On Thursday, October 28, the Redmi brand, as planned, held a large-scale presentation of its new products in China. The highlight of the event was the long-awaited series of mid-range smartphones Redmi Note 11. The lineup includes three smartphones with incredible capabilities. These are the base Redmi Note 11 and the top-end Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro +. We will tell you about each of the models separately.

This is the basic model with the simplest characteristics and an affordable price. In many ways, he is similar to his older brothers, but there are also several important differences. So, the basis of Redmi Note 11 was the Dimensity 810 chipset from MediaTek, the company to which is from 4 to 8 GB of RAM and from 128 to 256 GB of internal memory. Unfortunately, there is no memory card slot. The front panel of the smartphone has a 6.6-inch LCD-screen with Full HD + resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. A 16MP front-facing camera is embedded in the screen for selfies and video calling. And on the back is a dual main camera, consisting of a 50 megapixel main module and an additional 8 megapixel sensor with an ultra wide-angle lens.

The base Redmi Note 11 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. According to the manufacturer, it only takes 62 minutes to fully charge the battery. Other features of the novelty include a USB Type-C port, a classic 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones, stereo speakers and an infrared port. The device is powered by the mobile operating system Android 11, on top of which the proprietary MIUI 12.5 shell is installed.

The start of sales of Redmi Note 11 in China is scheduled for next Monday, November 1. The cost of new items starts at 1199 rupees, or about $ 187 at the current exchange rate.

These smartphones look the same externally, and their characteristics are similar. Both devices feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz sampling rate and a small hole (only 2.96mm in diameter) for a 16MP front camera. They are based on the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. The main and only difference between smartphones is that the Redmi Note 11 Pro + model has a 4500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. This allows you to fully charge your smartphone in just 15 minutes, which was demonstrated right during the event. But the charging power of the Redmi Note 11 Pro is limited to 67 W, but you get a 5160 mAh battery, which in theory should provide better autonomy.

At the rear, the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro + have a main camera with a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor, which includes an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle camera and a 2MP camera with a tele macro lens. Both smartphones have a 3.5mm headphone audio jack and ship with Android 11 and MIUI 12.5 on board.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro will go on sale starting November 5, starting at RMB 1,699 or $ 265. Redmi Note 11 Pro + will be available for purchase on the same day, but it starts at 1999 yuan or $ 310.
