Redmi K50 Pro + Specs Revealed: Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 And Periscope Camera

Redmi, a sub-brand of the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, is working on a new series of Redmi K50 smartphones. The lineup will include three models: the base Redmi K50 and the top-end Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro +. The technical specifications of the latter have already been leaked to the Internet.

Chinese insiders told what characteristics the oldest of the three Redmi K50 models will have. According to them, Redmi K50 Pro + will receive an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a built-in fingerprint scanner and an O-shaped hole for the front camera. The new flagship Redmi will be based on the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset, the official announcement of which is expected in December this year. And it will be powered by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of more than 5000 mAh with support for fast charging with a capacity of 67 watts.

In terms of cameras, the Redmi K50 Pro + can get a 108MP main camera in combination with two other sensors, one of which will be equipped with a periscope lens with optical zoom. The rest of the features of the new smartphone are still kept secret.

The Redmi K50 line is expected to launch in February 2022. The base model Redmi K50 will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, and the Redmi K50 Pro, like the Redmi K50 Pro +, will receive the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor.
