Already in October, according to rumors, Internet giant Google will unveil a new generation of its reference Pixel smartphones. Insiders say that the presentation of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is scheduled for October 19, and they will go on sale approximately on the 28th of the same month. True, the new flagships of Google will be released in limited edition and will be available only in eight countries, including three European ones. And it was the European mobile operator who declassified the prices for the new generation of Pixel.
According to leaked information, the Pixel 6, codenamed Oriole, will be available in two configurations — with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory and with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. Their recommended retail prices on the European market are 550 and 650 euros, respectively. By comparison, the base Pixel 5 comes with a mid-range chip, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for 630 euros.
As for the Pro version of the Pixel 6, which is codenamed Raven, it will receive three configurations with different amounts of internal memory. The base model will be equipped with 128 GB of memory, the middle one will receive a built-in 256 GB drive, and in the top version, buyers can count on 512 GB of internal memory. In all three cases, the amount of RAM will be 12 GB. The Pixel 6 Pro starts at 900 euros for the basic version. The other two models will be priced at 1,000 and 1,100 euros.
The € 350 difference between the base Pixel 6 and the advanced Pixel 6 Pro may seem like a lot, but there is actually a big gap between the two in terms of hardware. The Pro version, in addition to the increased memory capacity, will differ from the base model with a larger screen with a high resolution (6.4 inches with Full HD + resolution versus 6.7 inches with Quad HD + resolution), as well as faster charging power of 33 W and an additional sensor in the main camera with a telephoto lens with 4x zoom.
