Foldable smartphones are a new trend in the global mobile market. And it’s no surprise that more and more manufacturers are entering the foldable market with their products. This year, the Chinese company Xiaomi has joined Samsung, Microsoft and Huawei, which have been making foldable smartphones for a long time. And soon another player from China will appear on this market. We are talking about the OPPO brand, which is preparing to launch its first mobile device with a foldable design. Its technical characteristics appeared on the Web even before the official announcement.

Famous Chinese insider Digital Chat Station has revealed the features of OPPO’s first foldable smartphone. According to him, the novelty will resemble the Huawei Mate X2, folding into a tablet with a large OLED display with a diagonal of 7.8 to 8 inches. The screen will have Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Chinese display company BOE Electronics will manufacture a flexible OLED panel for OPPO’s first foldable smartphone.

The source also said that the front camera will have a resolution of 32 megapixels, while the main one will receive a 50 megapixel IMX766 sensor from Sony. Other features of the novelty include a side fingerprint scanner, which is likely to be installed in the power button, and the onboard Android 11 mobile operating system with the ColorOS 12 shell.
