The Chinese company OnePlus is working on a new smartphone, which will become part of the flagship OnePlus 9 series. The novelty will be called the OnePlus 9 RT and will be officially presented next Wednesday, October 13th. But OnePlus did not wait for the official announcement and decided to reveal the key characteristics of the new model now.
OnePlus has confirmed that the new member of the OnePlus 9 family will be based on the flagship eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, which will include LPDDR5 RAM and built-in UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone will be equipped with a Samsung-made display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The smartphone will be powered by a 4500 mAh battery with a 65 W fast charge function.
OnePlus did not specify exactly how much RAM the new OnePlus 9 RT will have, but thanks to the smartphone’s appearance in the Geekbench benchmark database, we know that it will receive 12GB of RAM. It is also possible that the device will receive a version with 8 GB of RAM. The maximum amount of internal memory is still unknown to us. The smartphone will receive one front camera built into the O-shaped notch at the top, as well as a triple main camera with a main sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels.
The manufacturer also confirmed that the OnePlus 9 RT will be offered in two colors. Acceptance of pre-orders for the new smartphone will be open on the day of the presentation, October 13, and its retail sales will start a week later, on October 19. You can place an order for the new product in the online stores JD.com and Suning.com.
