Now official: Google has announced the date of the announcement of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

After a long wait, internet giant Google has finally announced the date for the official announcement of the next generation Pixel. The new flagship smartphones Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will debut two weeks later, on October 19th.

The company announced the date of the Pixel 6 series announcement in the official Made by Google account on the microblogging service. True, this will not be a real presentation or even a live broadcast. The Internet giant has pre-recorded the event and will air it on October 19. And if you suddenly do not have time to watch the presentation that day, then you can do it at any other time.

One of the main features of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is that they will be based on Google’s first proprietary chipset, dubbed Tensor. It is known that it was developed with the participation of the South Korean company Samsung and will include eight computing cores and a 5G Exynos modem. The chipset will also provide smartphones with Wi-Fi 6E support.

In addition to the proprietary processor, the Pixel 6 series will also receive OLED displays with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a built-in fingerprint scanner. At the top of the display there will be a small perforated hole for the front camera. And on the back, the base Pixel 6 will have a dual main camera, while the Pro version will have a triple camera. Both smartphones will receive support for fast charging and will come with the latest Android 12 operating system preinstalled. Google is rumored to be unveiling the new Pixel Stand wireless charging device along with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

The new flagships of Google should go on sale shortly after the official announcement. The Pixel 6 is rumored to be priced at € 649 in the European market and the Pixel 6 Pro at € 899.
