HMD Global is preparing to launch a new smartphone under the legendary Nokia brand. It will be a mid-range model with support for fifth generation cellular networks and will appear on the market under the name Nokia G50 5G. The official announcement of the novelty is still ahead, but insiders have already declassified its key technical characteristics.

The Nokia G50 5G is a great solution for shoppers on a budget who still want to join 5G networks. The new smartphone will be based on the Snapdragon 480, Qualcomm’s first entry-level 5G SoC based on an 8nm process technology. The amount of RAM and built-in memory is not specified.
The front of the new representative of the Nokia G series will have a 6.38-inch LCD display. It will support HD + resolution and is unlikely to get a high refresh rate. At the top of the screen, you can see a small U-shaped notch — there will be installed a front camera, the resolution of which is still kept secret. On the back, in a round-shaped module, there will be a triple main camera with a 48 megapixel main sensor in combination with an LED flash. The resolution and purpose of the other two modules in the Nokia G50 5G triple camera remained behind the scenes.
As for battery life, the new smartphone will have a 4850 mAh battery responsible for it. The charging power is unknown, but given that we have a budget device in front of us, you should not count on the availability of fast charging. Everything will be controlled by the Android mobile operating system.
According to sources, the Nokia G50 5G will be one of the cheapest 5G smartphones on the market. Its cost will be about 230-250 euros. In some regions, the first buyers of a new smartphone will receive branded wireless headphones for this amount.
The exact launch date of the Nokia G50 5G is still unknown. But it is quite possible that he will be presented in the near future with a more advanced model called Nokia X50.
