The Chinese company Lenovo, without too much fanfare, presented its new entry-level smartphone on the Russian market. The novelty, which became part of the Lenovo K series, was named Lenovo K13 and replaced the Lenovo K12 released last year. And, looking ahead, let’s say that from the point of view of technical characteristics, the new smartphone is a step back in comparison with its predecessor.

Lenovo K13 is already available for purchase in Russia at a «beautiful» price of 7777 rubles. For this amount, buyers are offered a smartphone in a blue plastic case, equipped with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with HD + resolution (1600 x 720 pixels) and a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. A small U-shaped notch can be seen at the top of the screen — there is a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. On the back you can see two vertically aligned cameras — a 13MP main camera combined with a 2MP portrait depth sensor and LED flash. There is also a round-shaped fingerprint scanner on the back cover for quick and safe unlocking.
As for the internal stuffing of the new budget smartphone from Lenovo, the focus here is on the Unisoc SC9863A chipset with 8 computing cores operating at 1.6 GHz. The company has 2 GB of RAM. For data storage, a built-in 32 GB drive is provided. You can expand the memory using a microSD card for which a separate slot is provided. By comparison, last year’s Lenovo K12 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Now do you understand what step back we talked about?
For the autonomy of the Lenovo K13, a 5000 mAh battery is responsible. You should not count on its fast charging, because the maximum charging power is limited to 10 watts. From wireless connections, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. And it works under the control of the Android mobile operating system.
