Lenovo Announces Premium Tablet with 12.6-inch 120Hz Display and 45W Charging

Lenovo quietly announced its new premium tablet in the Chinese home market. Dubbed the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6, it boasts a large AMOLED display with high refresh rates and fast charging. But first things first.

Lenovo’s new tablet is housed in an all-metal case with a two-tone paint job. Its dimensions are 285.61 by 184.53 by 5.63 mm, and the tablet weighs 565 grams together with the entire filling. The front panel of the device has a 12.6-inch AMOLED display manufactured by Samsung E4. It has 2560 x 1600 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 360 Hz sampling rate, 600 nits peak brightness and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and supports HDR10, HDR10 + and Dolby Vision. Inside the tablet is a sub-flagship chipset of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, which has 8 GB of LPDDR RAM and 256 GB of built-in UFS 3.1 memory. The tablet is powered by the Android 11 mobile operating system, on top of which the manufacturer installed the proprietary firmware ZUI 13 for Pad.

On the back of the tablet, there is a 13MP main camera, complemented by a 5MP module with an ultra-wide-angle lens. And at the front, in a bezel above the display, hides an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling, combined with a ToF sensor for face recognition.

For autonomous operation of Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6, there is a 10,200 mAh rechargeable battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging with a capacity of up to 45 W via a USB Type-C port. True, a 30W power adapter is supplied with the tablet. Other features of the new tablet from the Chinese brand include four JBL stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 port, a fingerprint scanner built into the power button on the side, a magnetic keyboard connector and a microSD card slot. There is also support for the second generation Xiaoxin stylus.

The first wave of sales of Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6 is scheduled for November 10. Prices start at 4,299 yuan or $ 672 at current exchange rates, but early adopters will be able to purchase it at a discounted price of just 3,699 yuan or $ 578. The tablet comes with a stylus for 399 yuan or $ 62, a keyboard for 649 yuan or $ 94, and a protective case for 119 yuan or $ 19.
