Yesterday at an online event, POCO, a sub-brand of the Chinese company Xiaomi, unveiled its latest smartphone in 2021. It was the POCO M4 Pro 5G, the successor to the POCO M3 Pro 5G released just six months ago. The novelty has received improved filling, including a more powerful chipset and a larger display. But let’s talk about everything in order.
The heart of the POCO M4 Pro 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 810. It is a 6nm chipset that includes an eight-core CPU clocked at up to 2.4GHz and Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. The company has a processor from 4 to 6 GB of RAM and from 64 to 128 GB of internal memory. If this does not seem enough, then the smartphone still has a slot for a microSD memory card. Everything is controlled by the Android 11 mobile operating system installed on board with the proprietary MIUI 12.5 user interface. Also inside the case is a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery. It supports fast 33W USB Type-C wired charging. Fully charging the battery, according to the manufacturer, takes less than an hour.
Now we propose to move on to the external equipment of the new smartphone. At the front, it has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2400 by 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20 to 9. The screen supports a 90 Hz refresh rate, a 240 Hz sampling rate and has a typical brightness of 450 nits. The top is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. At the top, in a small O-shaped hole, is a selfie camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels. Two more cameras are installed on the back. It’s a 50MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultra wide-angle module. The side of the power button features a fingerprint scanner for quick and secure unlocking. The smartphone has support for 4G, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and NFC.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G is housed in a plastic case. It is 163.3 mm high, 75.8 mm wide and 8.8 mm thick. It weighs together with all the filling in 195 g. There are three colors of the case: yellow, blue and black.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G is slated to go on sale on Thursday, November 11th. The price of the issue is 229 euros for the version with 4/64 GB of memory and 249 euros for the model with 6/128 GB of memory.
