On Thursday, the Chinese company Realme held a presentation at which it presented its new products. In addition to the brand’s first tablet called Realme Pad, which we talked about earlier, the company introduced two new smartphones. These are Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i, middle-class models based on MediaTek processors, with large batteries and the function of expanding RAM due to the built-in storage.
Realme 8s 5G is the first smartphone on the market to be powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 810 chip. It is a platform with an eight-core processor clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and a Mali-G57 graphics accelerator. The company has a chip from 6 to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and a built-in 128 GB storage, expandable using a microSD memory card.
The front of the smartphone has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD + resolution, a 90 Hz refresh rate and a small cutout in the upper left corner for a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. On the reverse side, in a separate rectangular module, a system is installed, consisting of three cameras: a 64-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel one with a macro lens and a 2-megapixel black-and-white one, which acts as a depth sensor for portrait photography.

A 5,000 mAh rechargeable battery with 33-watt charging via a USB Type-C port is responsible for the autonomy of the smartphone. An appropriate adapter is included with your smartphone. The device is powered by the Android 11 mobile operating system with the Realme UI 2.0 shell. Other features of the Realme 8s 5G include 5G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, and Bluetooth 5.1.
Realme 8s 5G will go on sale on September 13th. The issue price is $ 245 for the version with 8 GB of RAM and $ 270 for the version with 12 GB of RAM.
As for the Realme 8i, it became the first device on the Helio G96 platform from MediaTek, which is supplemented with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory expandable using a microSD memory card. Most of the front panel is a 6.6-inch LCD display with Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A front camera is embedded in the upper left corner, and in the back there are three more cameras with a main sensor of 50 megapixels and two auxiliary sensors of 2 megapixels each. The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery, like its older brother, but the fast charging power is limited to 18 watts.
Realme 8i will be available for purchase starting September 14th. The device is estimated by the manufacturer at 190 dollars for the version with 4/64 GB of memory and 215 dollars for the version with 6/128 GB of memory.
