Xiaomi has made two important changes to its smartphone naming scheme this year. At first, she abandoned the use of the Mi set-top box, and now she has re-branded the popular CC series. The Xiaomi CC line has been replaced this year by a new series called Xiaomi Civi. The first Xiaomi Civi smartphone debuted at a special brand event on Monday 27 September.

The Xiaomi Civi series is aimed at users who value attractive design and a high-end selfie camera in smartphones. The main audience of Xiaomi Civi is women. The first representative of the new line received the laconic name Xiaomi Civi. It is built around an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, which is made on the 6nm TSMC process technology and includes four high-performance Cortex-A78 cores, Adreno 642L graphics and a 5G X53 modem. The company chip is 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. In addition to the processor with memory, the new smartphone hides a 4500 mAh rechargeable battery, which, according to the manufacturer, will last more than 24 hours of operation in a standard use scenario. And with support for 55W wired fast charging, you can fully charge your smartphone in just 45 minutes.

On the bezel, the Xiaomi Civi has a 6.55-inch OLED display that is slightly curved around the edges. It has Full HD + resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch layer sampling rate and 950 nits peak brightness. Above the display in a small O-shaped notch sits a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling with autofocus and various beauty filters. On the back is a triple main camera consisting of a 32MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens module and a 2MP macro camera. Other features of the novelty are stereo speakers, a fingerprint scanner built right into the display for quick and secure unlocking, as well as a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The smartphone comes with an Android mobile operating system and a proprietary MIUI 12.5 user interface on board.
It should be noted that Xiaomi is very proud of the design of its first Civi smartphone and how thin and light it is. The thickness of its case is less than 7 mm, and the weight, taking into account all the filling, is 166 g. The smartphone should lie comfortably in the hand due to the width of the case equal to 71.5 mm. The body, by the way, consists of a metal frame and a glass panel on the back with a matte soft-touch finish.
The first country where Xiaomi Civi will appear will be China. Taim it is already available for pre-order, and its sales start on September 30th. The price of the issue is 2600 yuan or 400 dollars for the base model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. By paying another 300 yuan on top, the buyer will receive a version with 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB drive. And the top version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory will cost 3200 yuan. When and at what price the novelty will appear in other markets, including the Russian one, the manufacturer did not specify.
