Unveiled in August, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable smartphones beat all pre-order records. It seems that Samsung foresaw a high demand for new items and therefore decided to release a huge circulation by the standards of folding devices.

According to sources cited by our colleagues at SamMobile, by the end of 2021 Samsung plans to release more than 4 million Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip third-generation foldable smartphones. In July and August alone, Samsung and its manufacturing partners released approximately 1.5 million new foldable smartphones. Over the next four months, Samsung plans to increase their production to 1 million units per month. Thanks to this, the annual production of foldable smartphones Samsung by the end of this year will grow by about 251% compared to last year, when the Korean company released less than 500 thousand devices with foldable design and flexible screens.
Note that now the demand for the third generation Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip significantly exceeds the supply. The company has already faced problems with a shortage of new smartphones in some markets. It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will really take the foldable device market to the next level, making them more accessible to the mainstream consumer. New smartphones are grabbing the attention of buyers with updated designs and features, as well as support for the S Pen stylus and lower prices compared to their predecessors.
