As with the iPhone 12 last year, the iPhone 13 series includes four models. The heirs of the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max received similar names, but with an index of 13. Now we will tell you about two junior novelties. These are iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13.
The new smartphones have kept the same display sizes — the iPhone 13 mini has a 5.4-inch panel, and the iPhone 13 has a 6.1-inch screen. But at the same time, they received a cut-out on top of the front camera with the Face ID system reduced by 20%. The brightness of the display is 28% higher than its predecessors and reaches 1200 nits (peak value).
The new iPhones are based on the A15 Bionic, the most powerful mobile chipset to date, according to Apple. The manufacturer claims that the CPU is 50% faster than the competition in terms of performance, and the graphics accelerator is 30%. In addition to a more powerful chip, smartphones can boast of increased autonomy. iPhone 13 mini, according to Apple, is able to work 1.5 hours longer than its predecessor, and iPhone 13 — 2.5 hours.
The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are still a combination of an aluminum frame, glass back and front with a special high-strength ceramic coating. Outwardly, the main difference between the new smartphones and their predecessors is the location of the main cameras — now they are aligned not vertically, but horizontally.
As expected, Apple has doubled the minimum internal storage of the new iPhones, but left the prices unchanged. Now the successors of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are available in configurations with 128, 256 and 512 GB of memory. The iPhone 13 mini starts at $ 699, and the iPhone 13 starts at $ 799.
