Apple hasn’t updated its wireless earbuds since 2019 when it released its second generation AirPods. Therefore, we expected the company to finally introduce the next generation of headphones this year. However, until now, the premiere of the third generation AirPods has not taken place, in connection with which there have been rumors on the Web about the postponement of the announcement to next year. However, the sources cited by the DigiTimes portal assure that Apple really plans to release new headphones by the end of the year.
According to insiders, the third generation of AirPods wireless headphones will debut before the end of this year. True, they did not disclose the exact date of the premiere. But, as expected, in the coming months Apple will hold another presentation of its new products, one of which, most likely, will be the AirPods 3.
If the first two generations of AirPods wireless earbuds were alike like two drops of water, then the third generation is waiting for a redesign. The new headphones will be made in the style of AirPods Pro with replaceable ear pads, however, they will not inherit the active noise canceling function from the Pro version. But Apple will improve the sound quality and increase the battery life of the headphones.
