Xiaomi is preparing another smartphone based on Snapdragon 870

The Chinese company Xiaomi is working tirelessly on new devices. It plans to introduce at least five new smartphones by the end of 2021. The characteristics of one of them have already leaked on the web. Looking ahead, we will say that this will be a top model based on a sub-flagship level chipset Snapdragon 870 from Qualcomm.

To begin with, it must be said that Xiaomi already has three devices with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. These are Xiaomi Mi 10S, Mi 11X and Mi Pad Pro. And that’s not counting smartphones from Xiaomi subsidiaries like Redmi and POCO. The new smartphone should be the fourth gadget in the range of Xiaomi with a Qualcomm sub-flagship chip, which is an overclocked version of last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus platform.

In addition to the top-end chipset, the new Xiaomi smartphone boasts a curved display with a perforated hole for a selfie camera and an image refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. True, it will have Full HD + resolution, and not 2K, as in some of the latest Xiaomi flagships. The front camera will have a resolution of 20 megapixels, while the main camera will have a main sensor of 108 megapixels, as well as a telephoto module with 3x optical zoom. The new smartphone of the Chinese brand will be powered by a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast wired charging with a power of 67 W via the USB Type-C port.

The source did not specify the name of the device, nor did he say when it will enter the market. But, we hope that in the near future more detailed information about the new product will appear on the Web.
