Recently, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun promised that the next generation of MIUI firmware will appear before the end of this year. However, he did not specify a specific release date. The head of Xiaomi did not tell about which models will be the first to receive the update. For him, one of the developers did it, who discovered in the source code of the MIUI 13 beta version mentions of which devices will be the first in line.
As you might guess, the current flagships and top models of Xiaomi will be the first to receive the stable version of MIUI 13. The list includes a total of nine models. These are Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Lite, Mi 10S, Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro +. Most likely, for these smartphones, a new version of the user interface will be released before the end of 2021. And the rest of the compatible smartphones will be updated in 2022.
By the way, it is worth noting that not all Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones will have MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Some models will receive a new MIUI version based on the old Android build, and only then, perhaps, will be updated to Android 12.
