OPPO A56 presented: budget smartphone for 5G networks

The Chinese company OPPO continues to develop its line of mid-range smartphones OPPO A. Just yesterday, it quietly announced in the Celestial Empire a new smartphone called OPPO A56 5G, which replaced the OPPO A55 5G released at the beginning of the year.

The novelty is built on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G platform with a built-in modem that provides the smartphone with support for working in fifth-generation cellular networks. The company has an eight-core chipset with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, expandable using a microSD memory card. Also, in addition to the chipset and memory modules, the new OPPO smartphone has a 5000 mAh battery. However, you should not count on support for fast charging — the maximum charging power is limited to 10 watts.

On the front panel of the OPPO A56 5G, there is an LCD display with HD + resolution and a drop-shaped notch at the top for an 8-megapixel front camera. Two more cameras are on the back — a 13MP main camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor for portraits. The device is running the proprietary user interface ColorOS 11.1, which is based on Android 11. Other features of the novelty include a fingerprint scanner built into the power button on the side, and a classic 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting headphones.

OPPO A56 5G is already available for pre-order in China. The issue price is 1599 yuan, or about $ 250 at the current exchange rate. When and at what price the novelty will appear in other countries and whether it will appear at all, the manufacturer did not specify.
