The POCO brand, owned by the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, continues to expand its range of smartphones. So, on the eve of POCO quietly released a new budget device, which became part of the POCO C series, joining the POCO C3 released in October last year. The novelty was named POCO C31.
The POCO C31 is an inexpensive smartphone with decent specs. It is built on the basis of the eight-core Helio G35 processor from MediaTek, which has up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of internal memory. The latter can be expanded up to 512 GB using a microSD memory card, for which a special slot is provided.
Almost the entire front panel of the new POCO smartphone is occupied by a 6.53-inch LCD-display with HD + resolution and an aspect ratio of 20 to 9. At the top of the display you can see a small U-shaped notch for a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. There are three more cameras at the back: a 13-megapixel main camera combined with a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portraits. The triple main camera is accompanied by an LED flash for shooting in low light conditions. Not far from the cameras, there is a round-shaped fingerprint scanner on the back for quick and secure unlocking.
The body of the new POCO C31 is made of polycarbonate plastic with P2i nano-coating and rubberized seals to protect ports and slots from moisture, dust and splash water. The smartphone is offered in two colors: gray and blue.
The new POCO smartphone is running the outdated Android 10 operating system. But the brand is proud that this device, unlike other smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, does not have any built-in advertising. And the novelty is powered by a 5000 mAh battery, which will provide the smartphone with up to two days of battery life. The manufacturer also assures that the battery is capable of withstanding 1000 charging cycles.
Since India is one of the priority regions for POCO, it was there that it was decided to start selling POCO C31. In the Indian market, sales will start on Saturday, October 2. The issue price is Rs 8,499 or $ 115 for the version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory and Rs 9,499 or $ 130 for the model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
