Huawei has released a series of smartphones Nova 9 on Harmony OS 2

The Chinese company Huawei, despite the US sanctions and related difficulties, continues to release new smartphones. For example, today, September 24, she presented a new series of mid-range smartphones Huawei Nova 9. It includes two models — the base Nova 9 and the top-end Nova 9 Pro. Both versions are equipped with quality OLED displays and quad cameras with a 50 megapixel main sensor. They are based on the 4G version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, which means that neither of the two smartphones has support for fifth-generation cellular networks.

The Pro version has a larger screen and instead of one front camera, two with a resolution of 32 megapixels are embedded in it. Also, Huawei Nova 9 Pro, unlike its younger brother, boasts a highly efficient graphene sheet cooling system and support for 100W fast wired charging via USB Type-C port. Otherwise, both smartphones are similar to each other, both externally and internally, and both run the new proprietary operating system HarmonyOS 2 from Huawei.

Huawei Nova 9 has a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD + resolution on the front, while the Pro version has a 6.72-inch panel with the same characteristics. The base model of the smartphone has one 32MP front camera, while the Huawei Nova 9 Pro has another 32MP sensor with an ultra-wide angle lens. At the same time, both smartphones are equipped with a fingerprint scanner built into the display for quick and secure unlocking.

On the back, the new Huawei Nova 9 series smartphones have a 50-megapixel main camera combined with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module and two 2-megapixel modules, one of which acts as a macro camera, and the other as a depth sensor for portrait photography. In terms of autonomy, the base Huawei Nova 9 is powered by a 4,300mAh battery with 66W charging, while the Nova 9 Pro is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. Huawei claims the Pro version only takes 20 minutes to fully charge from 0 to 100%.

The start of sales of the new series of Huawei smartphones in China is scheduled for September 29. The cost of Huawei Nova 9 starts at 2699 yuan or $ 418 for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory and reaches 2999 yuan or 464 for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage. The Huawei Nova 9 Pro will go on sale starting at 3499 Yuan, or $ 542 for the 128GB version, and up to 3899 Yuan, or $ 604 for the 256GB version. Both smartphones are offered in four colors: blue, green, black and purple.
